In the tradition of the great profile cutters of the nineteenth century I employ a camera obscura (a simple box camera) to record the perfect likenesses of my subjects. This allows me to faithfully execute a true and accurate image of any sitter. The sketch is cut from the finest imported French silhouette paper (matte black, thin coated stock). A treasured keepsake is ready to frame as clients wait and watch! For those folks who are not able to travel to Bishop HIll, Illinois but wish to embrace the opportunity to commission me, I am willing and able to design from photographs.

Send me a clear profile head shot of yourself (or another) and I will immortalize that figure in an instant heirloom! The traditional size of a bust is between three and four inches in height. This image fills a standard five-by-seven inch frame. If you would prefer a full body pose, send two photos: one head, one body shot.

All silhouettes are special order and require some type of direct contact with me to ensure your satisfaction. The figures and paper cuttings throughout this site are also available upon request. The cost of each commission changes with the degree of detail and number of subjects desired, but these prices do not change:
